Last week I posted about going to Medieval Times in Dallas, Tx(you can see that post here). I mistakenly said my husband had been there before, but I found out that he, in fact, had never been...but had always wanted to go. We had no idea what to expect. I was under the impression that you could choose the knight you wanted to choose for, but we were not able to.
Anyway, we arrived about 75 mins early. When reaching the front walkway, we were greeted by a guy who asked for the last name. Once I gave him the name our reservation was under he told us to go to the right. We had to wait in line for about 10-15 mins, and then we were greeted by another guy who asked how many in our party. After tell him the number in our party & the lady that I was told to ask for, he directed us to the counter to get our table cards. After getting our cards we were directed to wait in line and were given red & yellow crowns(my middle daughter was given a sticker that said "I rule! It's my birthday), meaning we were cheering for the red & yellow knight...which is fine. I just like the blue knight for the fleur de lis' on him.
After the crowns, we went into an area where they have a green screen. I didn't want to be in the picture, so my husband and two girls took a photo(they bring it to you later in the show and ask if you want to purchase it). After all that we entered the bar/gift shop. We bought my middle daughter a princess headpiece(I'm not sure what the technical name for it is) & then began our wait for the doors to open. We were able to use this time to get photos of our two younger girls & my husband with "King" Don Carlos, the falconer, and one of the trumpeters.
Once the doors were open, everyone with VIP lanyards went in first and then after they were inside, everyone with general admission was allowed to go in and sit. We were told which way to go for red & yellow and once we got to that section, we were told where our table was and we moved as far down in the row as we could. We were greeted by our serving wench, who was a super sweet girl. She got our drinks and asked if anyone in our row was celebrating a birthday, to which we said "yes".
We dined on;
Tomato Bisque soup
Garlic Bread
Roasted Chicken
Corn on the cob
Lemon Pound Cake
two rounds of Pepsi
and we had the option of coffee, but I declined.
The food was amazing. So amazing in fact that I was stuffed and couldn't eat everything. You are offered a to-go box to bring your food home with you. The reason we were asked if we were celebrating a birthday was because our server put a single candle in my middle daughter's pound cake & we all "cheered" for her bday.
The show was awesome as well. The horses were so gorgeous. I love that they put a net down so that debris can't fly into the crowd and hurt someone. It was an awesome experience and I am so grateful that we were able to go. We will def be back again soon.
I also want to mention that they DO have wheelchairs to rent(free of charge), but you need to get there early because they are available on a first come, first serve basis. Below there will be a few photos & videos from our night!
